If you know the 1RM velocity for a particular exercise, you can adjust it to obtain more accurate 1RM estimates.
Some athletes can lift their 1RM at a velocity lower than that shown in scientific studies, as these are ultimately population averages.
While the 1RM estimates should not change significantly, there may be notable differences in some cases. This is why we can edit the default load-speed profile provided by the app for a given exercise and input our own 1RM velocity.
Edit an Existing Equation
1. Go to "Tests"
2. Select the exercise of your choice (it should already have an equation created, if not, see the next section).
3. Click "Edit" on the top left.
4. Click the last register cell that says "1RM".
5. Introduce the new 1RM velocity.
6. Click "Save" on the pop-up and then on the top right.
Change the 1RM Velocity while Creating a New Equation
1. Follow the steps for creating a new l-v profile
2. Click the last register that says "1RM" and ener the new 1RM velocity.
