The Encoder Measures Eccentric Reps Instead of Concentric Reps

This means the encoder is in DOWN mode. Change it back to UP mode by following these steps:

 

  1. Power on the unit.
  2. Perform three repetitions by pulling the tether with your hand (ensure to complete exactly three repetitions).
  3. Press and hold the right button (located below the screen) for eight seconds.

  • If you want to see both the eccentric and concentric phases, activate the eccentric phase option in the app.

  • You don't need to change any settings on the encoder.

  • Make sure the encoder is in UP mode.

  • When you turn it on, you should see the Vitruve logo, then BTXXX, and finally the word GO.

  • That means the device is properly set up and ready to use.
