Here, you can see all the different settings that can be modified for each exercise to tailor it to your needs:
- Name, comments, tags for muscle groups.
- Insert YouTube URL (optional).
- Copy Equation from a similar exercise or create a new one.
- This customization is crucial if you want to get the estimated 1 Rep Max. If the new exercise is a variant of a main exercise, you can simply copy and paste the equation values from the main exercise.
- If the exercise is entirely new and lacks a variant with an equation, you will need to create a new Load-Velocity Profile to add an equation.
- To save time, you can create one Load-Velocity Profile with one athlete and then apply the equation to the exercise for all athletes. While this approach may not be perfectly accurate for everyone, it provides a useful estimation of each athlete's 1 Rep Max.
- The Vitruve app includes 14 default exercise equations. If your exercise is similar to one of these, you can copy the equation and customize it to fit your specific needs.

- Editing ROM filter
-
- The default ROM Filter is set to 8 inches. Any rep below 8 inches will not be detected. You should not modify this setting unless you are experiencing ghost reps. If a ghost rep is detected when unracking the barbell, you can increase the ROM Filter to prevent these small movements from being counted. Learn how to do this properly by watching the video below:
- Editing 1RM filter
-
- The 1RM Filter makes the 1 Rep Max estimation more accurate. If the velocity exceeds the 1RM Filter threshold, the estimated 1 Rep Max will not be calculated, and "-" will be displayed instead. This is useful because lighter loads result in less accurate 1 Rep Max estimations, so it should only be estimated with medium and low velocities (greater than 50% of the 1 Rep Max velocity).
- If you are not getting any estimated 1 Rep Max, check and modify the 1RM Filter as shown below:
