Understanding how accounts, organizations, and roles work in Vitruve is key to managing your training or coaching experience effectively.
🏢 What is an Organization?
An organization in Vitruve is like a sports club that can include:
- Athletes
- Coaches
- Managers or Owners
Each organization is linked to a specific subscription plan:
Free, Basic, Elite, or Pro.
💡 When you create an account, an organization is automatically created for you—even if you’re training solo.
👤 What is a User?
A user is any account registered on Vitruve with an email address.
- You must belong to at least one organization—never zero.
- You can be part of multiple organizations.
- Your role can vary in each organization.
Think of it like being a member of several sports clubs, with different responsibilities in each.
🎠What is a Role?
Roles define your permissions and access level within each organization. There are three roles:
1. Athlete
- Can train and view only their own data.
- Cannot view or manage other users.
2. Coach
- Can:
- Invite athletes
- Create teams
- View and edit athletes' data
3. Owner
- Has full administrative access:
- All coach permissions
- Manage subscription and organization details
đź’ł How Subscription Plans Work
Vitruve offers four subscription tiers:
Plan | Description |
---|---|
Free | For solo athletes |
Basic | Entry-level for small teams |
Elite | Advanced features for growing organizations |
Pro | Full features for large teams and gyms |
🚨 Access to features depends on the organization's plan, not the user's personal plan.
🔄 If You Belong to Multiple Organizations:
- You will use the features of the organization you’re currently active in.
âś… Examples
-
You own a Pro-tier organization:
→ Your team can use all Pro features within your organization.
-
You’re a coach in an Elite-tier organization:
→ You have access to Elite features when working inside that organization, even if your own is Pro.
-
You’re an athlete in a Basic-tier organization:
→ You can only use Basic features while training in that organization.
đź“Š Where Does My Training Data Go?
Your training data is stored within the organization where you trained.
đź’ˇ Example:
- You log a workout at Power Pro Gym.
- Later, you switch to Elite Fitness Club.
- Your Power Pro Gym data won’t appear in Elite Fitness—unless you switch back to that organization.
